My Weekend, LINE dancing for Noah's Birthday? WHY your energy is low and. HOW sleep won't fix it!

 This weekend was a pretty interesting one....


Noah's big celebration was certainly hyped up and outside of the amazing start with the bike and mini dinner and cake we had...

It turned out to be a learning experience LOL --- As the "festival" we wanted to take to ride horses, get some neat horse riding gear, play, bounce houses, rides....



All turned into being a place more for the country folk who love a good line dance and beer to pop up and look at crafts and listen to country music 🎶 (Laughing inside hard, but true)...


We made good fun of it and they had a good time! He got to play with baby goats, do a bounce house and build his own slushie on a running spinning wheel(very interesting if you havn't heard of them)....


But we tried to make it fun and then got dinner with cousins so it all worked out.



But what I want to align you with today is an IMPORTANT note about his actual birthday and the ENERGY I had that day.


You see, many of you undervalue the importance of your health. 


You are "ok" feeling tired, and get it as the "normal" and you sacrifice yourself for other's needs and think it's BETTER.


Well, it's not...if you are showing up 50% to work and family or your workouts ....heck, even 70%....


Why?


Because his birthday I had 100% and MAN was it amazing. Over 25k steps, a solid workout and running around mentally clear, drilling my work and making Noah feel LOVED.


Ending it singing in the car on the way home from moms when we woke up dancing in the gym...LIFE CAN'T be beaten when you have your health....


But then many of you don't know how to fix it or how certain components WRECK your body worse when you think they are doing GOOD!


Maybe it's your DIET you think you are doing well on and it's making you worse...maybe the supplement or pills....maybe your own training. (YOU CAN'T TRAIN like you did in your 20s)....


Whatever you think you have, remember the nervous system PLAYS a role! 


Your BODY wants to feel “safe” …..for good reason….YOUR CELLS. The brain and body connection rely heavily on our limbic system. This is responsible for controlling our Vagus Nerve and how we regulate stress and our body’s natural “protective” barriers they build to stop harm. 


What is harm?


Past Trauma, Dieting, Stress, Lack of Sleep, WRONG supplements, or LACK of self care(people pleasers) — I get it, and what many of you don’t realize is your cells are NOW building walls that protect you EVEN if you are doing the right things….🙄



They want “normal” —— and if the NORMAL you have been giving it is FEAR, STRESS, NO FOOD, POOR SLEEP and ANXIETY — well, you will be HARD to move out of that place unless you work it! 



Then working it won’t fix right away as it knows you are trying to do something NEW and wont like that either 😂 ( I hope this makes sense ) 


But really, energy is formed by ATP which derives from strong mitochondrial presence, and those cells need it! 


So long story short, stop looking for pills all the time, and even note good food and sleep MAY NOT be the way to fix your exhaustion. 


But....One thing I am SO real about is my love for my kids, and when I CAN’T have energy to be like this…..

My days are far from perfect.

Is it dancing with your kids post workout at 6am in the gym to Justin Timberlake? 😂

Is it having energy ALL day and closing a deal at work?

Whatever it is that FUELS 📈your heart, fills your cup and allows you to be a disciple of Jesus and his love he extends to you so THAT you can share to others…..well…. GO THERE!!!!


We often live in confinement of our problems and circumstances, which will drain and pull us down quicker than we can imagine. 😨

The hippocampus gets activated by remembering a positive memory that you truly enjoyed and it WILL begin to retrain your brain about feeling SAFE around positive thoughts. Maybe try it!

What will it do?‼️

Well…..your brain is a powerful tool….WHEN worked….can produce some INSANE results! Tell it to be positive, and watch your days improve and body feel safe.

When this happens, stress lowers and you could find yourself losing weight, hearing God’s voice more and being STILL in the moment. (Psalm 46:10)🙏🏽

Because we know the God’s POWER is shown ultimately in weakness (Corinthians 12:9) — 🙌🏻So it’s okay to be WEAK at times, so you can allow God to do the heavy pulling for your life, as he is for me and my two amazing kids!


I pray that you begin to heal, and if you need the help....

Happy Easter - Blog #2! --- HOW the Resurrection is MORE than God's Power + Your Relation to HEALTH!

 Just wanted to take a second to wish you all a wonderful Easter. 


Two blogs in 7 days, who am I? LOL


Well, it's been years since I wrote for the public eye, unedited and from the heart. 


Much of my writing was for journalism, magazines or published work was scrutinized with rules...


I have no filter here :) 


Anyways, the week was a bit hard for me. The kids being out early half the week and then off on Friday certainly has its challenges for a working single dad. I am sure many of you reading this are nodding in agreement, as I would mostly see grandparents at picks ups for 1-130 when they are let out. 


But I always say, God led me down this path for a reason. 


He had me close the gym and work from home to be able to be flexible enough to do this. I just try to learn that it's NOT a stress and it IS a blessing. Which is something I am working on more with my nervous system alignment. 


I know MANY of you feel the anxiety, fear and "stress" over certain things in life. I am the same. Between the 3 hours of pick up/drop off for my normal day with them being two different places, EARLY on top of it will add stress.


But I've learned lately that stressing never adds a day to your life. (Matthew 6:27) 


Jesus wants us to cast all our worries on him, for he can take it and help us cope with our pain and trials. (Matthew 11:28-30)


The biggest mistakes I've made as a coach growing through trials is to worry over things I can't control. THe lost 3 hours of work, YES....deep down on statistical data, CAN hurt my business.....


But my kids having daddy pick them up and drop them off, while also cutting work short(because it's not easy to get back to work with 2 under 6 post school ENERGY release 😂)....


MEANS EVERYTHING to me and them. 


Which is where I am going with this Easter post. 


The resurrection isn't just showcasing the power of God. We've seen prior to Jesus coming alive, the hundreds of miracles and raising from the dead of many like Lazarus. (John 11:38)


What this day shows is the simple fact that faith THROUGH pain, perseverance and tough times will ultimately lead to a blessing. 


Maybe NOT when you want it, as we've grown to be impatient humans, I am too! The average wait in a doctor's office is 13-20 minutes and at minute 20 is when we hit boiling!


We want what we want WHEN we want it. 


But take a second to see something you've wanted and NEVER got for a long time....what did you learn during the process?


Maybe you learned you never wanted it to begin with LOL


Maybe you learned how to enjoy it more once you got it....


Maybe you can see where I am going ( hint hint ) 


The pain and suffering and struggles you are in, will ultimately sharpen your faith, and draw you closer to Jesus.


Ahaaaaa.....his plan. 


So when the time comes for the blessing....you can then turn back to him again with Joy!


I've been diving DEEP into nervous system work for my clients, as the Polyvagal Nerve plays KEYS in autonomic regulation, cortisol release and management of your stress. We have 20% of our body's responses be dictated by our brain, but 80% from the BODY and that is where these nerves play role!


How you handle them, and how you can take yourself from a cell danger response(CDR) of 1 where all these warning signs flip and have you feel mentally and physically exhausted...


TO a CDR 3 where you are at the top of the POLYVAGAL ladder, i'll show below....where you are calm and joyful....THIS is where healing happens and your mind can be receptive of ALL the stress, anxious thoughts and emotions so you can better cope. 




A simple way to look at your "fear" and stress...


If you are constantly living in that mode...your body will build up a "wall" and sense ANYTHING you do as a threat and pull back with all your daily work. 


Cooking becomes harder

Work

Training


Nothing you do works until your body knows it's SAFE.


So the safety you can confide in is Jesus. 


Allow him to bridge what you are feeling, and begin working yourself up the ladder to know his resurrection happened to give us eternal life.


Your worries can become your warrior stance to build the life you want!

I even had a KILLER client shout out this week. 


She's been with me 5 months and did NOT want to lose weight. She wanted to learn her system and her body so YES, we can get leaner, stronger and she wanted her core to become stronger.


She was put through a lot of nutritional approaches to dial in her body's awareness cues to slow her nervous system down that was holding her back from better results....


Once I worked this and her gut....the rest came together as you can see and WOW, with no weight loss that is a visible difference. 




I am so proud of her!
